Help with gift idea...

My SIL has the Nikon D40 camera & I am looking for some suggestions on what we can give her for a birthday present. Probably in the $60-$75 price range. She mentioned she wanted an indoor flash, but I'm guessing that's pretty pricey. Any ideas?

Both are great reads and help you learn a lot. They are the type that you can read to get started and learn a lot and then re-read as you know more. You learn new things every time.

I own them both and love them. I guess I should read them again myself.

My DH is big into photography and one of his favorite things is his camera bag we got him from Inkley's I believe. It is like a backpack but it's just on the one shoulder and he can easily turn it around to grab his camera out without haveing to remove his whole bag. Also he loves his remote control for the camera, makes family pic's so easy.

That is a great idea! I have a really long one that I love. It is longer than the traditional strap it hangs down on my hip. It is made from fun funky material!

tripod, white balance card, remote control, extra battery (unless hers uses disposable - I'm not familiar with the Nikons)
