Does anyone know how to make a Pillow/Cushion for a Window Seat Bench? I just bought a really cute Bench, but it need something to sit on soft. I plan on putting it in our Mud Room for the kids to sit on to put their shoes on. I just don't know where to start to make a cute pillow/cushion for it! Thanks!!!

I'm going to make a seat cushion for a toy box and found this pattern online. I haven't tried it yet but it seems simple - just make it the size you need. Check out the link:

Try this:
Trace the shape of the window seat on butcher paper. Cut this shape out in foam rubber.
Add 1/2" all around and cut two shapes out of fabric for the top and bottom of the cushion. If you're using an expensive home decorator fabric, you can use a less expensive fabric like heavy muslin for the bottom.
Measure the perimeter of the shape and add one inch. Cut a long rectangular piece of fabric in that length and one inch wider than the foam rubber. You can cut more than one piece, but be sure to add seam allowances. This will be the side of your cushion.
Sew the sides and the top and bottom together. leaving the bottom of the back open so you can insert your foam. If you would like to wash the cushion cover, you can insert a zipper here, or you can simply put the foam inside and hand-stitch it together.
