With a pregnancy test taken 4 days before a missed period, about 50% of women will get an accurate result. The accuracy rate goes up as one gets closer to the date of a missed period, with a test on the day of a missed period being about 99% accurate.

I've done one at 4 days (with DS#1) and got a tiny line if you squinted.. but a line is a line..

I say go buy a couple of dollar store tests and pee away. lol

As much as I never wanted to try a $ store test, I did this last time b/c so many people said they worked. It was so great b/c I got so anxious like you I just ran out and bought one to test, and when it was too early to tell all I was out was a dollar. I think then I went and bought a couple more and took one every day until I knew for sure!! LOL ANd now I'm three months pregnant.
