Cell phone family plan for 2?

Hubs has a verizon cell, I'd like to be added for a cell too. What is the best family cell plan that you know of for good UT I-15 coverage?

Also, this is embarrassing to admit, but, I'm 35 and never owned a cell (texted), ipod, ipad, kindle, or any techy type things other than my lap top. Any good cell PHONE recommendations would be appreciated. I'd like to keep my schedule in it too. Can I combine any of these techy thingys with just one item purchased? I'm on an 'update techy life crusade' right now! HELP!!!!!
