I love the story "The Touch of the Master's Hands." You could do a plaque or something associated with it.

Find out what he has as far as mormon study aides. Maybe get him a set of Institute manuels. Or if he is a reader get him the biography of President Monson or another book. Something uplifting to help him keep the fire burning as he is entering the church as an adult.

nice set of scriptures (if he doesn't have), journal (a great start is to write down his memories of his baptism day--I think this is good for any age), a hymn book with his name engraved. The above ideas from other posters are great too!

I agree with the other posts. You could get him a framed picture of Christ or one of those small statues. A book written by one of the general authorities might be nice. I REALLY like the idea of the standard works if he doesn't already have them.

THANK YOU! I'm still open to more ideas....though I am learning towards a book and/or framed picture.
I forgot to add that his wife is a life-long LDS member already, so I think their home has "LDS" things, BUT I'm not sure HOW much stuff....so that is why I think a picture or book is good. |
