YMMV depending on the location. One of the Rite Aids near me (I am in Washington state) will do rain checks for the item, but will not do anything with regards to the actual rebates. But it doesn't hurt to ask.

If the store will not fax the receipt from the raincheck for the rebate, you can fax it in yourself with a note of which rebate # you are doing a note that this was a raincheck. I have done this several times. I just use the fax number from the rebate website.
