I haven't used the doublers before. Can anyone tell me what is the general policy on using them? Can you only use 3 per visit or transaction? Thanks for any help.

Yes, it's 3 per transaction, except when there are both weekly ad doublers and Sunday ad doublers. In that case, we got this information from them last week:

"Going forward when we have Wednesday doubler coupons and Sunday doubler coupons.:
Wednesday through Saturday we will accept the number of coupons from the Wednesday ad in a single transaction.
Sunday - Tuesday we will accept the total from Wednesday and the additional coupons in the Sunday ad in a single transaction."

I have never done it myself, but my mom used to freeze it when I was growing up and it seemed fine to me.

No. They say "not subject to doubling" on them.
