Even though you can (you just need to use a browser that you don't normally use), doesn't mean it's ethical. It says right on the sign-up page that it's for first time customers, and only one free trial per household.

Thank you for your opinion. I wonder why it worked for the OP and not me?

Oh and for all the money I spend there during the year you would think they would want more of my money at Christmas. I'm just saying.

When I clicked through the link in the OP I was offered a free month, I even selected which credit card to use, and then I got this message:

"Unable to start your Amazon Prime Free Trial

We were unable to start your Amazon Prime free trial because our records indicate that you are currently or have previously been a paid or trial member of Amazon Prime. Free trials are currently available to new members only, but you may sign up at our regular rate of $79/year to enjoy Free Two-Day Shipping. "

No go for me!

Didn't work for me either. I was able to get the link to continue, told it which card to use, and then at the end it wouldn't go through.

I did the prime free trial about 3 or 4 years ago and today during checkout it offered me a free trial. I didn't use any link it was offered. I'm guessing its going to depend on how long it has been since you tried a free trial.

Just saw this on another board:

1. Log out of you Amazon account
2. Clear cookies/temporary files in your history
3. Go back to Amazon.com (Click Welcome back (your name). Not (your name)?
4. Go find Cars on Blu-Ray , then you should see add to cart w/ Prime trial for free shipping!

On the checkout page there is a big 1-month Prime trial you can sign up. You DON'T have to actually buy the disc, just click on "Learn more" then "Start my free trial", and then you can go back and remove the item from your cart.

It didn't work for me as I am currently using the Amazon Prime Trail. It's for those who currently don't have Amazon Prime.

Default Share?

I tried the prime membership before Christmas and it was wonderful. I loved sharing it with my family. If I renew, can I share this with up to 4 people? I was going to sign for the year if I could share it, but I don't know if you can. I don't want to be charged $79 before I know.
