Smile Amazon PRIME 1-Month Free Trial (Works on existing Amazon.com accounts)

I have used Amazon.com Prime before. I just signed up again and got a 1-month free trial. In my opinion, this makes the items (toys, books, dvds, cds, etc.) that sell for less than $25 worth getting now (specially, when shipping is a large percentage of the total cost). Otherwise, it might be cheaper to buy toys, books, dvds, cds, etc. in-store, online with free shipping to store, or online with retailers that give free shipping with no minimum purchase.

LINK

***VERY IMPORTANT***
If you DO NOT want Amazon.com to automatically upgrade your account (and be charged $79) once the trial has ended, log in to your account and then click on the 'Manage Prime Membership' link. Click on the 'upgrade automatically' button, click on the 'Do not upgrade' button, and then the click on the 'Turn off auto-upgrade' button. It is best to do this right after you have signed up for the Amazon Prime trial so that you don't forget.

Didn't work for me. Just took me to the full price sign up. The only time I had a free trial was over 2 years ago in 2007.

It wouldn't even let me do it with my dh's name! Boo hoo!
Oh well. I don't need the free shipping temptation anyhow.

It goes to the pay option page but that's just so that they can bill you once the 1 month trial is over. If you click past that "continue" you get to the 1 month free trial page.

It does specifically say on the 'sign me up' page that it is for new accounts only, though.
