Smile catalina question

Does anyone know if you have to buy 4 of the same type of soup to get the catalina? Could you buy 1 select gold label and 3 microwavable bowls? Please post if you know. Thanks in advance!

The way these promo's work.....you have to spend a certain amount on certain products, and once you've reached the amount, a voucher will print at the register that you redeem for your DVD. So you'll get credit for every dollar you spend on the items I listed above. I'm just giving everyone a heads up so they don't stock up on those items before Sunday.
HTH!

Default Campbell's catalina

Is it going to print for each 4 we purchase? I think we have to buy all in one transaction to get the 200 label education.

In the past I've found that I could have bought the movie much cheaper than if I tried to play the "earn it free" game this way. (In the beginning some movie promos at Albies were great but they seem to have gotten pretty crummy in the last few promos.) I don't mean to sound bitter, but what is your opinion of the deal?
For example, I bought my Eggos at Smiths for 50 cents this week. I can buy them for $1.17 at Albies for the promo to earn the movie, but that's already .67 cents more per box than I could buy them at Smiths. Ten boxes purchased this way at Albies is already $6.70 more than Smiths so it's as if I already contributed that money towards my movie anyway.

Do you know what I mean? I want to get really excited about earning a free movie but I don't want to get my hopes up. What's your opinion?

If you don't need the products, or are they aren't a good price in your opinion, then you're right, it's sometimes cheaper to just buy the movie. However, these promos usually last several weeks, and you'll have several ad cycles to find deals on participating products. As with all the deals on PYP, pick and choose the ones that work for you and your family. Just because it's a deal for some people, doesn't mean it's a deal for everyone.

Personally, I am planning on stocking up on the chicken. At $1.49 per lb and frozen individually, that is a good deal for me. Besides, we go through a lot of chicken around here. Depending on the dollar amount needed to earn the movie for free, I may get both movies! Plus, if you bottle chicken (we need a deal on a pressure canner!) this would be a good time to do that as well.
I've actually never done the free movie promo, it has just never been stuff I needed or had coupons for. So, I am glad that something really basic, and already on sale for a good price, is included.
