That would make the cutest cake for baby's first birthday. You know, the one that they eat and make an absolute mess out of!

I so wanted this pan for ds' first birthday, about 6 months ago, unfortunately it had just recently came out and I could only find it at one website and would have had to get expedite shipping and it would have been over $50.

I got this and it was delivered within 36 hours of ordering it! I was able to make the most adorable cupcake for my friend's daughter's first birthday this weekend. My boys were so delighted with it that we made another one just for them. It seriously has got to be one of the better purchase I have made in a while--I can see years of birthday fun and good memories coming from this. Thanks for the great tip, Jodi!

This is definitely something to keep your eye on to see if the price comes down again. The cupcakes are SO much fun! The one I did for my boys I scooped out the inside of the bottom half and filled it with ice cream, then froze it. They didn't know I had done that and so when they cut into it, they thought it was the coolest thing!

I can definitely see a giant cupcake on your birthday becoming a tradition around here. Here's a link to a picture of the one that I made--I used rolled fondant that I tinted pink for the bottom and the "sprinkles." The chocolate swirls looked way better in real-life. It was perfect!
