Default Price Matching at Walmart?? Meat?

Any price matching experts out there? Just curious if they will price match ground beef? Safeway has fresh 93% lean ground beef for 1.99/lb... safeway is farther away and pain.. I would prefer to avoid going there. However, its not like price matching a 12 oz box of cheerios... the meat is packaged different, does that make sense?

Does it matter, how does price matching work for meat?

Also if I can price match the ground beef, will they match the 1.99 milk super coupon (that requires a 10 minimum purchase) from the safeway ad or the poptart .99 supercoupon?

TIA!!!!

I have price matched different meats here in Utah.
Walmart seems to price match just about anything where I live.
Produce, bakery items, deli, milk, auto parts, tires, etc.

I know Walmart will NOT price match Sprouts on some produce items.
Often Sprouts will have seedless watermelons for 99-1.25 each and Walmart claims Sprouts has inferior produce therefore will not price match .I have tried 3 Walmarts in the East Valley with the same response.

I have price matched meat before and one cashier told me they will do everything except Tyson chicken...I don't know why, but I had a guy price matching meat just a head of me in line with a supersaver ad and they did it no problem.

that cracks me up since one of the reasons I don't shop there anymore is that their produce was HORRIBLE

I've price matched meat there. I've had a cashier once or twice tell me that they can't price match it because they don't carry the brand (like Kroger), but once I explain to them, or possibly a supervisor, that the brand in question is the other store's store brand, they just price match it with their own store brand as is Wal-Mart's policy.

They should price match if you have a price per pound match. If you have a % off, they will not, they will not match BOGO's either.
