Default Our military has done so much for us....let's help the ones who are hospitalized.

Now that Veterans Day is over Sportsclips is working on "The Christmas Store" .

The Christmas Store is a way for hospitalized Veterans who aren't able to leave the hospital to have a gift to give back to a loved one on Christmas. How depressing would it be to not have a simple gift to give to a family member?

Around your house-- someone gave you something in the past that you have never used....or maybe you bought something because it was on sale and figured you'd save it until you had a reason to give it.

Instead of letting it gather dust wouldn't it be nice to know that you have made a Veteran's Christmas?

You can take your gifts by the Sportclips in Tulsa, across from Abuelos at 71st and HWY 169 or in Owasso at Smith Farm Marketplace.

Here are a couple of things Sportsclips has already done for our military.

Sportclips offered a free haircut for Veterans and Military from 9-1 with military or Veterans ID on Veterans Day.

For others who come in on that day, who aren't Vets or Military they will donate $1 from every haircut to VFW Operation Uplink, which I understand helps military families to call home during the holiday season.

Thank you to all who will look around their house and find those unused gifts they don't need and in that way help us help us show our appreciation for the sacrifices our service people have made for us.

The plan is to set up a little area giving them gifts to choose from (price stickers will say "Paid in full") and if for those not strong enough to go to the "store" a cart will be rolled from bed to bed.

I believe in this so much. Contact me (PM)if you have any questions.

P.S. One gentleman told of how horribly depressing it was for his dad who was dying in the hospital with no way to get a gift for his beloved wife and child. One simple gift can brighten their day.
