Default Freezing nacho cheese sauce

DD's birthday is this weekend and she wants nachos with her friends. Not the yummy real melted cheese kind, she wants the 7-11/Circle K nacho cheese type sauce. The only nacho cheese I have found so far is a 1 gallon can at the grocery store (I don't have a Sam's or Costco membership). It is only $5.99, but we aren't going to eat it all and I don't want to waste it. If I were to put the leftover in smaller containers, would it freeze and thaw well enough to be used later? Thanks!

My parents even used to put it in ziploc baggies to freeze. No problems!

We put it in ziploc containers, baggies, tupperware. It has all worked out fine for us. Freeze it up and you can have nachos all year long.

We froze ours in ice cube trays overnight and then put them in ziploc baggies. It gives you a perfect single serving without having to thaw a whole chunk of sauce.
