Default Overages

When an item goes on sale and the coupon is worth more than the sale price of the item you make money from overages. (This is why you want multiple coupons.)

Trial and travel sizesat Wal-Mart will get you overages, if the coupon can be used on them.

Walgreens overages

If your coupons total more than the item for which it was intended, stores will not give you money back...but will apply it toward something else you are buying. You should have a "filler" (something else in your basket to absorb this overage). Be sure to have enough stuff in your purchase to cover it!

(Example: An item costs 2.00 and you have a $3.00 Q then you need a filler since they won't give money back.
