The cucumbers and dill are for making pickles. It’s a recipe from my husband’s uncle that has been in their family for awhile. Of course, my version won’t be nearly as good as his, because he has a HUGE garden and uses his own cucumbers and dill, picked fresh moments before they are canned – can’t beat that!
