I love this time of year!  Summer is still going strong, but the new school year is right around the corner.  My kids are so excited to go back to school, I am EXCITED for them to go back to school!  There is however always an element of back to school anxiety.

Do you have kids that are apprehensive about going back to school?  My kids are super excited now, usually the 2nd or 3rd day of school is the hardest for my kids.  I have a child with anxiety and he does struggle a bit in leaving me throughout the year.  Here are a couple of ideas to send a piece of yourself to school with your kids: Develop a parting ritual, such as a hug and a saying: “I love you, you love me, have a great day and I’ll see you at 3!”  Most kids like a laminated picture of the family in their pencil box.  Many also like a token for their pocket, such as a paper heart with a love note, or a pebble you found on the beach together.
