Here is a fun craft you can make next year for the 4th of July. Now that those holiday items are on clearance at most stores you can also get a great deal! My girls really enjoyed making this simple wand, and it just took minutes. Don’t worry if you are not a crafty person, it is really easy!

Gather together a new, unsharpened pencil, colored electrical tape, and a star wire garland. (The garland I found at the dollar store, the electrical tape at Walmart).

All you need to do is start wrapping the garland around the top of the pencil a couple of times, then leave several inches at the top poking up. Do this as many times as you want to get the fullness you desire. I was able to make 3 wands out of one of the garlands. When you are done, it looks like this:
