Now that fall is here, are you left with lots of green tomatoes? Don’t throw them out. There are many things you can do with green tomatoes. But if you don’t want to make anything with your green tomatoes that’s okay! Did you know you can get them to ripen after you pick them? It’s true! Just pick all your green tomatoes before frost hits. Put them in a cardboard box in the garage. Wait a few weeks and they will ripen into red tomatoes. I do this every year and it’s my favorite thing to do with my green tomatoes. It stretches my fresh tomatoes from the garden even farther into the year.
