Lacy Pumpkins

cleaningI saw some lace-covered pumpkins yesterday while out shopping and fell in love with them. The ones I saw were large and you can make them simply by cutting a hole in the bottom of your pumpkin, cutting a piece of lace large enough to fit around your pumpkin, cutting a hole for the stem in the middle of the lace, stretching the lace around the pumpkin and pushing all the ends into the hole in the bottom. Another option is to wrap the lace from the bottom up and use pretty push pins to hold the lace in place.
.

You can also use lacy stockings for smaller pumpkins like these in the photograph above. cleaningSimply cut the stocking and wrap an elastic around the top. So pretty!

.

Another option is to put the lace around your pumpkins and spray paint them, then remove the lace so that you get something that looks a little more like these. Whatever the method, the results are lovely – and no pumpkin guts!
