Best Things To Flip For A Profit

03795733ac95b4b47ad1cd8c12b73f54f67ce3fd_large

If you’ve ever wondered what the best things to flip for a profit are, you’re in luck. You see, we’ve done a lot of research as well as based the list below on our own experience. What we’ve came up with are some of the best things out there that can be flipped for a profit. You may be surprised as to what some of these items or products are but we assure you that this list is 100% accurate. It may take hard work and a lot of money but it is definitely do-able. Before you commit to trying any of this though, just make sure it works in your area. Now, what are you waiting for? It’s time to scroll down and take a look!

Real Estate

The first thing on our list is real estate. It’s definitely expensive in most cases to get going unless you simply get your real estate license and sell the homes of others. If you want to really make the money though, you could always buy old or damaged homes, fix them up, and flip them for a profit. It’s a risky game but as the old saying goes, “no risk no reward.”

Websites

You may not know this but there are sites out there such as Flippa that specialize in selling websites whether established or not. Find an established website that is making money, buy it, build it up some more, wait until you turn a profit, and then sell it for what you paid for it. You could also buy a promising site that needs a little work and just build it up until it’s making the kind of money that you want it to. From there, you can keep it or sell it.

Cars

This is another one that you probably didn’t expect to see on this list and it may require you to get a special license (if you sell a certain amount of cars within a year) but you can make a lot of dough doing this. If you don’t have a lot of money, try to find running cars that cost around $1,000 and immediately sell it for $1200, $1400, or even $1600. We’ve seen this done a lot and it’s not even anything bad. Some people simply need cash fast so they are willing to sell their car for dirt cheap. That’s where you capitalize and make cash!

So, there you have it. These are some good starting points for you when it comes to flipping stuff for a profit. Obviously, websites and cars are generally going to be your two cheapest bets but don’t get it confused. You can make equally as much money off of those as you could by flipping real estate. It may take work but the money is definitely out there. So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get to flipping and make yourself a nice profit!

Flipping Antiques For A Profit

Smith_Antiques_Sav_014-reduced

Unless you live in the desert, you’ve probably seen an antique store or two in your day. What you may not have seen though is someone that buys antiques and flips them for a profit. It’s not because they know a lot about antiques or can look at something and give you its value on the fly. No, it’s because they are business smart and know what to look for. You too can buy antiques and flip them for a profit and the list of tips below will make it very easy for you to get started. Interested? If so, go ahead and scroll down now to start!

Do Your Research

Unless you plan on getting rich with this venture, it’s best to pick a particular niche and do your research on it. It could be anything from antique furniture, vintage coins, or even old sewing machines. Regardless of what type of antique catches your attention, make sure that you read up on them. Learn about the qualities that make them valuable as well as the qualities that make them worthless. Find out what certain items are selling for (and not what people are asking for them). From there, it’s all about buying them for a little less.

Learn Where To Shop

What we mean by this is that antique stores aren’t the only place to buy antiques. In fact, that’s probably one place that you want to avoid. Sure, they’re bound to be full of valuable antiques but they are probably priced around what they are worth which leaves you little room to make money. Unless you can haggle them down or find a store that doesn’t know their stuff, you’re better off rummaging around thrift shops, estate sales, and yard sales.

Build Up Inventory

Finally, the last tip we have for you is this. Build up your inventory before you actually start selling. Pick a budget (say $100) and buy something. Take the profit that you make from it and put it in your pocket. Then, take that $100 and buy something else. If you want to step it up, give yourself a bigger budget out of the profit as you progress. Just make sure that you build up an inventory first (even if just a few items) so you have more than one antique for sale. This will give you the very best chance of long term financial success.

And if you follow these tips, you’ll find that you will be flipping antiques for a profit in no time. It’s really not that hard and we know a lot of people that supplement their income by a few hundred dollars a week doing this. It is a lot of work at first but once you build up a solid inventory (and gradually add on to it over time as you sell), you’ll have no trouble selling. We’ve even seen some people who struggle to keep enough stuff to sell. Not only will you get repeat customers but you’ll get to a see a lot of cool items which is awesome!

4 More Ways To Save On Groceries

groceries

We’ve done a few lists like this in the past and decided that it was about time that we do another one. Not only are you going to learn a few more ways to save on groceries but you will also walk away with something else. What is it? Satisfaction! That’s right. You’re going to leave here with the satisfaction of knowing that you’re putting more money into your pocket and less into your pantry. The cool thing is that you aren’t going to starve or eat any less. No, you’ll be able to enjoy just as many meals as you would have before. Let’s start!

Shop For Sales

The first tip that we have for you is to shop for sales. What we mean by this is that you should be looking for sales and clearance items. Doing this in the grocery store will save you a ton of money and allow you to put more of that money into your pocket. If it means that you have to go shopping on Sundays when the new sales papers typically come out then so be it. You’ll save a ton of money and it’ll most definitely be well worth your time.

Use Your Rewards Card

Most grocery stores like Kroger have some type of rewards card that will save you money on your groceries and sometimes, you can even save money on gas. Some stores do cash back type programs but we prefer the ones that just save you money on groceries. You’ll be able to get a lot of items at prices of 10 for $10 which is extremely cool. We love it!

Shop In Groups

This isn’t your most typical tip but it is one that works. If you shop in groups, you’ll spend less money on gas (so will whoever you shop with) and you’ll have someone with you that can help you make smarter choices. Find a friend or family member that is willing to go to the store with you and it’ll work wonders on your grocery budget. Trust us! This works.

Shop Locally

Finally, this is the last tip that we have for you when it comes to saving money on groceries. We recommend shopping at local grocery stores versus going to big chain grocery stores. You don’t have to do this all of the time but definitely give it a shot once in a while. Not only will you be supporting small businesses but you could save money too.

So, in short, if you want to save even more money on your groceries, you should consider implementing some of these tips into your grocery shopping lifestyle. We know that they work and they do save you money. How much money they save you is entirely up to you. So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get out there and save money on your grocery bills. We know that you’ll love the extra money that you put into your pocket. We do!

Nook vs Kindle: Which Is Better?

nook-vs-kindle

As fans of reading, we’ve heard a lot of people debate on which is better: the Nook or the Kindle. Well, we decided that it was about time we chime in on this argument. You see, we’ve actually had the good fortune of owning a few models of each of these eReaders and the verdict is in. Before we give you our final decision though, we’d like to take a minute or two of your time to talk about the deciding factors for each of these eReaders.

Ready to begin? Good! So are we. Now, first of all, we used the very first Nook model as well as the very first Kindle model. For those, we definitely preferred the Kindle. Why? Well, the Nook had way more features and was a much cooler eReader but we found it to be kind of slow and sluggish. Sure, it had that cool touch screen at the bottom that allowed you to skim through your book collection and view their covers but it had a little lag. The Kindle on the other hand was very basic but most of all, it was much more responsive.

Fast forward a few years and you get to some of the current models of these eReaders. They both have made their way into the “full color” market and we absolutely love the Kindle Fire. However, the Nook seems to have far more choices when it comes to choosing the right eReader and is a viable option regardless of what price range you are in. Sure, you could go out and find an old Kindle and it would work just fine but that’s like telling you to get an old computer. It would be fine if that’s all you can afford but you’d never buy it in a million years if you could get something that was up to date. So, with that being said, the Nook wins by a long shot right now. The Nook Simple Touch is absolutely fantastic and we really feel like Barnes and Noble has blown the Kindle out of the water in recently.

So, with all of this being said, which one wins overall? To be quite honest, that’s a very tough choice for us to make. Electronics change every single day and what’s hot today could be cold tomorrow. As of right now, the B&N Nook takes it (very easily at that). A few years ago, the Kindle would have taken home the prize but not as decisively as the Nook does right now. However, we realize that could change. Amazon is a powerhouse and with B&N being in a tough spot as of late (financial troubles have hit a lot of businesses), we kind of expect the Amazon Kindle to take back over sometime in the near future. So, in short, the Kindle came out very strong but the Nook currently takes home the big prize.

Drop us a line and let us know which eReader you preferred then, now, and tell us why!
