Did you know how easy it is to grow wheat grass? SO easy! I am sorry I didn’t post this a week ago, because then you would have had time to grow some before Easter. It only takes about a week before you have your grass growing!

Wheat grass is fun to have inside for spring decor, but it also have many health benefits and you can cut it to use in smoothies.

Supplies:

container (I like the galvanized ones, or the cute pails at Target)
wheat berries (I use hard red wheat from my food storage)
water
saran wrap

Fill your container with dirt. Place your wheat berries all across the top of the dirt and water well. The cover with saran wrap and place in a sunny window. Water every few days to keep moist. When you see the berries sprouting, take the saran wrap off. Keep moist and in about 10 days you will have full wheat grass like the picture above!

Last spring my husband made this bike rack for the kids’ bikes and scooters. It was a lifesaver in our small garage! Plus it is really easy to build.

As you can see it is a pretty simple design, and will only take a few hours to complete. Here is where we got the idea from. Give you specific directions, however I would recommend that you make sure you measure your bike tires before you make the slats for it to go into. Every tire is different, and you don’t want it to be so snug that your child can’t pull it out on his own.
