Wonderful ways to save money on food is by doing OAMC. I know alot of people know about this and the places to go prepare your freezer meals but by planning a menu, comparison shopping, couponing and having a great food storage you can do this for very little $$. This also saves so much time, I spend one weekend cooking meals for 30 nights and then can just warm up or throw in a crockpot my freezer meal for dinner. I have a family of 6 and of those 6, I have a hungry husband and 3 teenage boys, 1 who thinks he is a grown up LOL. So we must always have alot of food. When we make our freezer menu for the month, we usually make 30 meals that will serve about 6 sometimes a little less (hubby works nights). I am actually able to do this along with making alot of my own convenience mixes, etc. under $260 a month. Would love to hear of others ideas on freezer meals, their experiences and just maybe tips that we could share with others.
