Have Fun This Summer On A Budget

summer

With the summer season right in front of us, we’ve been trying to come up with a lot of fun ideas for all of our readers. Everything from cheap vacations to time killers. Well, this post follows suit to the others and we’ll be discussing even more ideas for everyone to have fun this summer without forking out a bunch of money. If you’re on a tight budget this year and think that you have to spend your entire summer sitting at home, think again! Now, if you’re ready to get started and want to know more, continue scrolling down!

Go Swimming

Going hand in hand with the picture that you see above, our first suggestion is to go swimming this summer. In most cases, it’s 100% free unless you have to stock up on some bathing suits and sunscreen. Find a local swimming hole, pond, lake, or river. Just make sure that the area isn’t infested with snakes, horse flies, or anything else that might make for a bad experience. Live in the city? If you don’t mind the crowd, there’s probably a few public swimming pools that won’t charge you more than a few bucks to use. Smaller areas also tend to have clubs (that are very affordable) that have access to their own pool.

Make A Book List

This one may not come off as exciting to some of you but if you like to read, this one is definitely a fun, productive, time killer. If you don’t have the money to buy the books that you want to read, try to find them used online or hit up your local library. In most cases, you should be able to read a book or two a month. If reading isn’t your thing, it’s no big deal. Refer to the suggestion above or continue reading for another idea that we have.

Start A Side Business

If you’re one of those people that would rather be productive than have fun, consider spending your time this summer developing a plan for a side business. It could be as simple as cutting grass for a few extra dollars or maybe you want to finance your very own hot dog cart. This is especially great for high school or college students. Do none of these really appeal to you? Do what you know! If you like to write, spend your summer submitting some short stories to a few magazines. If you like to do arts and crafts, consider hitting up some trade shows and selling your work. The opportunities really are endless with businesses.

So, with all of this being said, it really doesn’t matter what you do this summer. As long as you have fun and do something that you feel good about, who cares if you can’t take a huge vacation to some tropical island? In fact, you’ll probably be so upset that you have to come back that you’ll forget all about that vacation in a few weeks. But, if you do something that is productive, it’ll more than likely stick with you forever. Now, have fun!

Finding The Best Bogo Deals

bogo

If you aren’t familiar with what a “Bogo” sale is then let us fill you in. Bogo stands for “Buy One, Get One” which is a fairly common event at retail stores across the country. Usually, it means that if you buy something for $10, you can pick out something else that is $10 or less. Obviously you can’t buy something for $20 and get the second item, which costs $40, for free. You would pay for the $40 item and get the $20 item for free. Some stores even just do select items so the sale doesn’t include everything in the store. Either way, we have a few tips for you as to how you can find these Buy 1, Get 1 sales that we speak of.

Look For Signs

First and foremost, our first tip is this. The next time you are out shopping, look for signs. Look for anything that says “Bogo” or “Buy 1, Get 1.” You may even be interested in other similar sales such as those where you buy one item and get the second one at half price. They are still big money savers and when these sales are going on, signs are everywhere!

Search Online

The second thing that you can do in your pursuit of these events is to search for them online. You’ll find some retailers that are only doing the sales online but you’ll also find stores in your area that have these sales going on. Just hop on your favorite search engine such as Google and search for “buy 1 get 1 (your area here)” and see what you can find.

Sign up for what? Sign up for your favorite retailers’ rewards cards and you’ll get notified via email about any upcoming sales or events. It’s a very convenient way to save money and you’ll always be in the know. On top of that, you should rack up some serious points that will help you save a ton of cash even when these sales aren’t currently going on.

Ask Around

Finally, the last tip that we have for you is to simply ask around. If you have any friends or family members that love to shop, odds are, they know about all the latest sales. Post a status on Facebook and see if anyone in your area knows of any good Buy 1, Get 1 sales. There are even store owners on Facebook that will jump at the opportunity to get you in their store so they may even offer you a one time, promotional discount of some kind.

So, with that being said, we hope that you can find some awesome sales in your area. If you follow the tips found on this list, you should have no trouble doing so. Now, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get out there and find some good sales so you can save big!

Saving Money On Paper

note-paper

Before we get started, we want to say one thing. We’re very much guilty of what we’re about to accuse you of. Okay, so accuse probably isn’t the right word but let us continue. You see, every day, people tend to waste a ton of paper. Even we do it! We try not to but it’s just something that kind of happens. However, we’re making an active effort to cut down on the paper we waste and save a little bit of money at the same time. We’d like you to take part in that effort so we put together a little list of ways that you too can cut down on the amount of paper that you waste. Now, ready to find out how? Scroll down!

Recycle It

The first tip that we have for you is to simply recycle. Sure, it seems kind of obvious but it really does work wonders. Not only will you put some money in your pocket but you’ll also be helping the environment. Sure, it can be a real pain to recycle paper but you don’t even have to recycle all of your paper. Recycling some paper is better than none. Try saving all of your newspapers for a few months and recycle them. You’ll be surprised at the results.

Re-Use Paper

The next tip on our list is to simply use your paper more than once. Even if the sheets of paper in question have been drawn all over, they still have a purpose. Save a few sheets in case you ever need to ship something and you can use some old, balled up paper as packing material. Think of a creative way to decorate with your used paper or do something that no one else is doing. It may seem tough now but trust us. You are capable of most anything!

Buy Recycled Paper

Finally, the last tip that we have for you is this. Buy recycled paper! Not only does it tend to be cheaper but you’re basically helping the environment in more ways than you could ever imagine. Almost every office or retail store carries recycled paper. You may have to read the label closely to see what is recycled and what isn’t but we have noticed one thing. Most of them have a big green logo somewhere on the packaging that lets you know it is a recycled product. If you can spot those products and buy them, you’ll be good to go!

So, the next time you find yourself throwing away paper or spending endless amounts of money on it, refer back to this list. Share this with your friends and print the list out. Stick it on every wall you can find at every single store. You can never have too many people aware of saving money on paper. Just make sure you use recycled printing paper! If you don’t, then that will make everything we’ve just told you one big, walking contradiction.

Saving Money On Magazine Subscriptions

magazine

Let’s say that you’re a big magazine buff and you’re looking to get your hands on a few new subscriptions. Well, you’re in luck! Why? Because regardless of what types of magazines you are looking to get your hands on, we have a few tips for you that will help save you a little bit of money. If you are interested in finding out what they are, all that you have to do is scroll down and continue reading. We promise that this will definitely save you money! Now, what are you waiting for? Go ahead! We are ready to start.

Subscribe Within

The first tip that we have for you is to subscribe within. What we basically mean by this is that you should subscribe via one of those little post cards that you see in virtually every magazine on the planet. You’ll save a ton of money off of the cover price and on top of that, you will also probably get your first issue for free. If you ask us, that’s very cool!

Get A Free Trial

The next tip that we have for you is to get a free trial. This won’t save you much money but you’ll basically get the first issue for free so you have absolutely nothing to lose. Most magazines offer “Bill Me Later” in which they will send you the very first issue which is yours to keep along with a bill. If you like the magazine, you can send in your payment and your subscription will carry on. If you don’t like the magazine, you do not have to pay.

Bundle Up

A lot of magazines are circulated by the same company so you can save a ton of money if you bundle up your subscriptions. We don’t see this as much as we used to but we know that it is still a good way to save money. If you own your own business and need to fill up that waiting room with some magazines, this may be the cheapest way of doing it. After all, nobody wants to read old magazines that are out of date and useless. We sure don’t!

Subscribe Annually

Finally, the last tip that we have for you in regards to saving money on magazines is this. When you go to subscribe to a magazine, subscribe annually. Sure, you could go out and buy each issue individually (and pay three times as much) right off of the store shelves or you could subscribe per 6 months. Doing this though will cost you more money in the long run. So, when you see a magazine you want to subscribe to, set your terms for one full year.

And that’s all you have to do in order to save money on magazine subscriptions. Sure, it sounds very simple and you may not believe that it works but it does. So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get out there, save some money on magazines, and have a good read. After all, there’s nothing like saving money on magazine subscriptions you love!

Finding The Best Online Deals

sales

When it comes to finding deals online, not all of us know where to look. We may hop on Facebook and see what our friends are sharing or we may even simply ask around. Well, there’s a better way of doing it. Not to say that however you find the best online deals isn’t as good or doesn’t work but we’d like to share our methods with you. Yes, that’s right. We’re going to tell you exactly how we find the best online deals and how you can do the same. So, if you’re interested in learning where we look, scroll down and read on.

Google

The first place that we generally look for the best online deals is Google. Typically, we hop on our favorite search engine (which just so happens to be Google) and look around for the best deals out there. We may use search terms like “best online deals” or we may just look for something more specific such as “blu rays on sale.” If we do look for something with a specific search term, try adding the current date in there. So, you would search for “blu rays on sale 1/1/14.” You may be very surprised as to how many results that you may get.

Kohl’s

This store is a little different than the first two stores on our list but don’t worry. Kohl’s is a very cool store that specializes in clothing, home decorations, and a few other things. Most of them have a clearance section in the back of the store and we absolutely love checking them out. Not only do we tend to save a ton of money when we go into Kohl’s but we never know what to expect. If you have one in your area, swing by there today!

Rue 21

Finally, the last store on our list is another stores that specializes in clothes. Yes, Rue 21! They give out free coupons where you can get $25, $50, or even $100 in clothes for free. All you have to do in order to get some details is swing by the store and see what kind of sale is going. Making Your Own Bug Spray

natural-insect-repellent

Making your own bug spray isn’t something that you’ve probably thought about before but we recommend that you start thinking about it. Not only can you save a ton of money but you can also ensure that your bug spray works. In fact, there are actually a few different household items that you can use in replacement of bug spray that tend to work very well. Interested in finding out what these items are? If so, scroll down and look at the list below!

Vinegar

We’ve heard a lot of success stories about vinegar and how much it can help you get rid of pests such as ants, flies, and even mosquitoes. Use it around your home but avoid using it indoors as it could actually attract more bugs than you already have. For best results, try mixing it 75/25 (mostly vinegar) with warm water and using a spray bottle to apply it.

Soapy Water

If you’ve ever messed around with homemade bug sprays before, this is a remedy that you have probably already heard of. Take some of your favorite hand soap and mix it with warm water at a 50/50 mix. Then, you can apply it to areas around your home to rid them of bugs. The best use for this mixture is against fleas and it’s safe to apply directly to your pets. If you don’t have hand soap, try the same mixture but with some type of lotion.

Tea Tree Oil

Think of this one as kind of a universal bug spray. It works well on almost any type of bug that you could possibly think. All you need to do is take some tea tree oil and mix it with distilled water and vegetable oil. Mix these as evenly as possible and spray around your home with a good spray bottle. This should last for a few months but if you notice that the effects of it are starting to wear off, feel free to apply more anywhere around your home.

Apple Cider

Finally, the last homemade bug spray that we have for you is made of apple cider. This may seem a little contradictory to what you’ve been told in the past as apple cider has a sweetness to it (we’ve all been told that bugs love sugar). Mix this with some mint leaves and you’ll quickly see it work its magic. This mix can be applied inside as well as outside.

So, the next time you have some pests in your home that you’d like to get rid of, you know a few remedies that will do the trick. Feel free to play around with any of these mixtures and see which one works best for you. The only way to find out if something works is to try it so don’t be scared to try them all even if one has already worked for you. Finally, please pass this along to your friends and family as everyone can benefit from homemade bug spray. Now, what are you waiting for? Let’s get out there and eliminate those pests!

Getting Extra Money For A Vacation

save-money-on-vacation

Summer is right around the corner and we know how much some of you are looking forward to this year’s vacation. It may be to the local beach, an amusement park, or maybe you’re just flying back home to see your family and friends. Regardless of what kind of well deserved vacation you are taking this year, we have some last minute tips that will help you save a little extra money to put towards it. So, if you’re ready to check out these money saving tips and get started, go ahead and scroll down. It’ll be well worth your time!

Park Your Car

If you’re dead serious about taking your vacation and are short on money, park one of your vehicles. If you have two cars, park one until the end of summer and just use one car. This will save you a ton of money on gas and you could take off that car’s insurance and save even more. If you only have one car, consider commuting to work via bus or with a friend.

Sell Your Old Stuff

If you’re in a rush and have some old stuff sitting around that you’d be willing to part with, consider selling it for vacation funds. Put your Star Wars collection to good use or make a few bucks off of those old silver dollars you have. Deciding how important your vacation is may be tough but if you’re not getting any use out of some of your stuff, it’s time to sell it!

Recycle

We know that this one may not seem like it’ll amount to much but if your vacation is still a few months away, you can probably pay for your hotel for a night off of the money you’d make by recycling your bottles, cans, card boards, and plastics for the next few months. If you have a busy household though and a big family, you can probably save even more cash.

Odd Jobs

Finally, the last tip we have for you that will put a little bit of extra money in your pocket for your vacation is to do odd jobs. It could be anything from mowing grass to cleaning homes. Regardless of what you do, make sure it’s something that you can do in your spare time, it pays decent, and it doesn’t cost you too much money to get it done. If you do this, you should be just fine and will find that you can put a lot of extra cash towards your trip.

And that’s it! If you work with these tips and put at least one of them into motion, you’ll find that you will definitely have extra money to put towards this year’s vacation. If you manage to do all of them, you may very well pay for your vacation with nothing but the information found on this list. Now, what are you waiting for? Let’s get started and make sure that you take your trip this year and if you don’t mind, share this list with friends!

4 Cheap Classics On Blu Ray

386px-Blu-ray_Disc.svg

If you keep up with the latest technology and are a movie fanatic, you probably have a few Blu Rays in your home right now. So do we! We absolutely love blu ray discs and seeing our favorite movies like never before. The quality of the video is stunning, the sound is better, and you simply notice things that you’ve never noticed before. Throw in some a quality surround sound system and you have yourself your very own home theater, right? Duh! So, what are some good movies that are on blu ray for cheap? Scroll down to find out! And we totally understand. We don’t like to fork out $30 on new releases that we haven’t seen.

Titanic

The first movie that you can find on blu ray for cheap is Titanic. We’ve seen this 4 disc set for as little as $10 so far and the picture quality is amazing. This is one movie that you have to experience in blu ray for sure. And not to mention the fact that in the release we saw, you get the film on Blu Ray, DVD, and a digital copy. All of this was only 10 measly bucks.

The Shawshank Redemption

This is another movie (based on a Stephen King story) that was an instant classic the second you first saw it. It’s also only around $10 or $15 in most stores on blu ray which is a steal. Step behind the camera with Frank Darabont and see this movie how it was meant to be some some 20 years ago. If you’ve never seen this movie then you are truly missing out!

Terminator 2

This movie’s special effects changed them as we know it. It was the first movie of its kind and even Star Wars wasn’t as ahead of its time as Terminator 2 was in the early 90s. There are quite a few different releases of this film on blu ray and one was as cheap as $5. We prefer the steel case release though and definitely recommend paying the extra money.

National Lampoon’s Vacation

We decided that for the last cheap blu ray on our list that we would brighten the mood. We played with your emotions with Titanic, we gave you hope with Shawshank, we put you on the edge of your seat with Terminator 2, and now, we will make you laugh with the last one which is none other than National Lampoon’s Vacation. And that is enough said!

So, the next time that you head into Best Buy or are shopping around for Blu Rays on Amazon, see if they have these films on blu ray. They won’t cost you $30 bucks a pop and you’ll get the same entertainment out of them (many times) as you would from a new film. Also, be sure to drop us a line and let us know what you thought of each film. If you have already seen the film before, let us know what you thought of the blu ray transfer. Enjoy!

Cheap And Delicious Seasoning You’ll Love

spices

If you spend any time in the kitchen at all, you probably use a lot of seasoning. And you also probably know how expensive and overwhelming seasonings can become. Most people don’t even know what kind of seasoning to get for what kinds of dishes. That’s where we come in. Not only are we going to tell you what some of are favorite seasonings are but we’re also going to tell you what to put them on. Best of all, these seasonings are highly affordable and you can fill your shelf with all 4 seasonings for under $15. Ready to start?

Lemon Pepper

The first seasoning on our list is lemon pepper. It’s very affordable and works great on a wide variety of meals. However, if you’ve never used lemon pepper then we recommend that you try it out first on a chicken based meal. It could be lemon pepper wings, chicken breasts, or even use it to season some grilled chicken. Regardless, you’ll find that lemon pepper is absolutely delicious on chicken based meals as well as a few other meal types.

Oregano

The next seasoning on our list is oregano. It’s delicious in spaghetti, on thin crust pizza, and even on a turnover. Anything that would be considered Italian food is great to put oregano on as well as some soups. Feel free to play around with this one and make a big pot of home made tomato soup. Then, throw in some oregano and wait to see what you think.

Salt And Pepper

Most people don’t think of these as seasonings but they are. You just probably already always have some in your house so you won’t need to go out and buy it. The things that you can do with salt and pepper in the kitchen are amazing. Throw some salt on your steak and watch how much it spruces it up. Sprinkle some pepper over your biscuits and gravy. The possibilities are endless with these two and if you don’t have some, get some today!

Cinnamon

Finally, we have one last seasoning for you. Yes, cinnamon! It’s absolutely delicious on pastries, desserts, and even ice cream. If you want to use it something for dinner, try adding a little bit of cinnamon to your BBQ or to your hot dog chili at the next cookout. Be creative with it and you’ll find that this is one seasoning you wished you had messed with a lot sooner. We have never really used cinnamon much and once we started, we loved it!

So, these should be some good (but affordable) seasonings to get you started. Once you get tired of these, add 4 more seasonings to your arsenal. Every seasoning on the planet has at least one good use but it may take some time to discover it. We promise that this will be fun, rewarding, and you’ll soon become a seasoning hound. Now, what are you waiting for? Get out there and try these seasonings today. It’ll most definitely be well worth your time.

Must Have Cheap School Supplies

school-supplies

Gathering school supplies can be a pretty time consuming process and younger mothers tend to have trouble knowing what they need to get and what they don’t. We have a good solution for that though as we’re going to list the bare essentials when it comes to school supplies and let you know where to find them. Best of all, none of these school supplies are expensive and you can probably get everything that you need for around $20 or less. Ready to get started? If so, scroll down and take a look at the beneficial list of supplies below!

Notebooks

The first must have (but cheap) school supply on our list is notebooks. Not only are they super cheap (under $1 each if you know where to look) but they are a must have for any student. Stores like Big Lots, Kmart, Walmart, and Fred’s Super Dollar Store tend to have some very good prices on quality notebooks. This is especially true around August or so.

Pencils

What student doesn’t need pencils? Most people prefer mechanical pencils nowadays but you can get some pretty amazing deals on wooden pencils if you shop around. You’ll need a sharpener though as pre-sharpened pencils tend to be more expensive. We recommend getting an electric pencil sharpener right off the bat as it’ll pay for itself time and time again. We especially like those that you can simply mount on the corner of your desk.

Book Bags

The third thing on our list is something that you’ll need if you have any intentions of carrying your school supplies. Unless you have good coordination and are really tight on money, we recommend buying a book bag somewhere like eBay where you can get new stuff at used prices. You’ll also probably be able to find brand name book bags for a very good price. The only way to find out though is to head on over to eBay and take a look!

Miscellaneous

Finally, the threw in a category for misc. items that a lot of people forget about. You know, stuff like erases, rulers, markers, and even calculators. All of this stuff can be found at just about any retail store on the planet but you can get some really good bargains on items like those that we just mentioned if you shop at dollar stores. Stores like Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Family Dollar usually have very good prices on items that last.

So with all of this being said, you should have no trouble finding cheap school supplies every single year. Shop at some of the stores that we’ve mentioned throughout this post and use coupons whenever you can. If you do this, you’ll definitely save money as long as you check out the quality of the school supplies. If you have to replace them every few weeks then you really aren’t saving any money. Don’t worry though. Every store that we’ve mentioned has quality materials so you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Making Money Off Of Video Games

upcoming-video-games

On this post, we’re going to be discussing a few ways that you can get some additional benefit out of your old video games and put a little extra money into your pocket. Too often, people simply let their video games pile up and typically, the older they get, the less they are worth. They go from being a new release to a hot seller to an older game and finally, they end up in the $5 bin. Why not make some money off of them before that? If you follow the guidelines below, you can do that and more. Now, go enjoy the list below!

Sell Them Fast

We touched on this above a bit but we’re going to touch on it again. The main thing that you’ll want to keep in mind when it comes to selling your video games is that the longer you wait, the less money that you’ll probably be able to get. You already lose money the second that you walk out of the door with the game so it is important to make sure that you don’t lose even more money. Play a game, beat it, and sell it immediately to profit.

Avoid National Chains

When it comes to selling your used video games for cash, you may want to avoid big chain video game stores. Why? Well, because they give you little money and then they turn around and sell the games for 3x as much as they paid you. Why allow that? Sell to local mom and pop video game stores if you have them. You’ll get more money, you’ll support a small business, and you’ll probably enjoy the atmosphere a lot more. Don’t you agree?

Bundle Your Games

The next tip that we have for you when it comes to making money off of your old video games is to bundle them up. Why go through all the trouble of selling your games one by one if you have 50 of them to sell? Put them in one big bundle, list it on eBay, and see if it sells. Not only will you get rid of them all at once but you’ll also get a nice chunk of cash.

Keep The Case

Finally, the last tip that we have for you is kind of a precaution but nonetheless, it works! When you buy video games, always make sure that you keep the cases to the games. It makes them easier to resell and not having the case drastically drops the value on a game. After all, would you want a movie without the case? We know that we certainly wouldn’t!

So, there you have it. This is how you can make a little extra money off of your videos games but also ensure that you are getting the most money out of them. To recap, avoid national chain video game stores, keep the cases to all of your games, bundle them when you go to sell them, and finally, sell them as soon as you beat them. Now, go get it done!

We all know what Easter is and most of us know its origins but what some of us don’t know is how we can celebrate Easter without spending a ton of money (or any money at all). Every year, there are thousands of people who don’t have the money to buy expensive Easter baskets just sitting at home with nothing to do. We don’t like that at all. In fact, we want to help change that. Below, you’re going to find a few things that you can do on Easter that will cost you little to no money. Are you ready to find out what they are? Good!

Go To Church

If you’re a religious person or just like the atmosphere of churches, why not hang out at your local church on Easter? They’ll more than likely be doing stuff all day for Easter for both adults and children. If you’re not a religious person but are interested in how it works, you can still swing by. If this simply isn’t for you then move on to the next Easter option.

Community Events

The next option that we have for you is to see what kind of events are going on in your community. Big or small, most areas have various festivities going on such as parades, egg hunts, dinners, and who knows what else. Best of all, vary rarely do any of these events cost any money. See what’s going on in your are and invite a few friends. Not sure where to find out? Check your local newspaper, listen to the radio, and ask people you know.

Movie Marathon

Usually, on Easter there are some family friendly movie marathons on basic cable and you’ll find that there are a lot of Easter themed movies out there to watch. Best of all, not all of them are cartoons which is good news for those of you that don’t have kids. So, crack open a bag of chips and enjoy a relaxing evening watching the tube. This may sound a little boring to some of you but it’s completely free (assuming you have cable) and very relaxing.

Egg Hunt

Finally, the last option we have for you is one of the most popular things to do on Easter. Yes, that’s right. Have your very own egg hunt! Eggs are as cheap as $1 and some change per dozen if you want to paint eggs but you can literally buy plastic eggs in bulk for pretty cheap prices. Even if it’s just you and your significant others, you may find that you’ll have a blast if you both take turning hiding the eggs and then finding them. Trust us on this!

And those are just some of the many things that you can do on Easter to kill the time. You don’t have to spend a ton of money or any money to have fun on the holidays and we hope that you now know that. So, why are you still sitting here? It’s time to start making plans!

Losing weight is no easy task but if you put the right foods in your body, it’s a very easily obtainable goal. In fact, there are certain foods that you can eat which will help you lose weight just by eating those foods. If you’d like to learn what those foods are and need to lose a few extra pounds, scroll down and read about the foods listed below. We guarantee you that these foods will help you lose weight, feel better, look better, and best of all, they don’t cost a ton of money. Now, what are you waiting for? It’s time for us to start.

Sweet Potatoes

The first cheap food on our list that will help you lose weight is the sweet potato. Not only can you do a lot with these foods taste wise but they are also very filling. We’ve even heard rumors that your body expends more calories burning a sweet potato than is in the actual sweet potato. So, in theory, you could lose weight just by eating them and doing nothing else. So, the next time you’re in the grocery store, pick up a few and have them for lunch 3 or 4 days a week. They’ll work wonders for your body and you’ll lose weight.

Bananas

The next food on this list is the banana. These are packed with potassium which is good for you, they give you energy (it’s nature’s energy drink), and they are very filling. If you’re on the go and need a quick lunch or don’t have time to fix breakfast, have yourself a banana with a glass of iced water. Not only will they give you your sugar fix but they’ll keep you full until the next meal and they taste great. Not a fan of bananas? Try blending one or two bananas into a smoothie with a little bit of milk and some of your other favorite fruits.

Lean Meat

Yes, we know. This is a pretty broad category but we had to include it. The two big lean meats that we think you should incorporate into your diet to lose weight are chicken and turkey. Turkey is a little more in the pricey said but frozen chicken breasts (boneless) can be bought for pretty cheap. Prepare them in the oven with a little bit of lemon and pepper. It not only tastes great but it’s packed with protein and will help you lose weight.

And that’s it! As you may have noticed, we gave you lean meat, a fruit, and a vegetable. That’s really all you need! As long as you are drinking plenty of water and eating foods like this regularly, the fat will literally melt right off. Throw in 30 minutes of walking a day or some jumping jacks and you’ll lose even more weight. Just be sure that you don’t do too much or cut out food completely as that may help you lose weight but you’ll gain fat and it isn’t good for you. Now, what are you waiting for?
