6 Best Tasting Diet Sodas

diet pop

Okay, we love soda and we’re sure that you do too. We may not love how much it costs or what it can potentially do to our bodies but we can’t deny that soda is absolutely delicious. So, what if you’re on a diet and your grocery list has diet soda written all over it. Which brand of soda should you get and why? Well, we have an answer for you but it very well may surprise you. You see, the diet sodas on our list aren’t all too common. Or are they?

Diet Dr. Pepper

The first soda on our list that we would recommend when it comes to diet soda is none other than Diet Dr. Pepper. It’s delicious, it has a smooth taste, and while we don’t think it tastes much like regular Dr. Pepper, it has its own unique taste that you will love.

Coke Zero

Next on our list is Coke Zero. We were a little skeptical about this soda when it first came out but we’ve grown to love it over the years. It tends to cost a little more than most diet soda brands but it’s well worth it. Coke Zero also goes great with stuff like sandwiches!

Diet Pepsi

In our honest opinion, Diet Pepsi is the diet soda that most tastes like its original recipe. In other words, Diet Pepsi tastes pretty close to how Pepsi tastes. It’s a little less sweet and has a little more punch to it but all in all, it tastes good especially if you like regular Pepsi.

Diet Mountain Dew

This is another soda that tastes a lot like what it is supposed to. It just barely slides in under Pepsi as the diet soda that most tastes like the original recipe because the diet version of Mountain Dew tastes a lot like flat Mountain Dew but it’s still decent to drink.

Diet A&W

By A&W, we mean their brand of root beer. We know that a ton of you out there absolutely love root beer so we had to mention this soda. It doesn’t taste a lot like regular root beer but it’s still definitely a decent diet soda. It’s also not as common to find this.

Diet Sprite

Finally, the last soda on our list of the best diet sodas is Diet Sprite. Again, this is one of those drinks that tastes somewhat like the original recipe soda but not a lot. Diet Sprite is a rough one to take down for us but a lot of people do like it so we had to list it for them.

So, there you have it! This concludes our list of the 6 Best Tasting Diet Sodas. We hope that you enjoy one of the diet soda brands and your diet goes well. Drinking diet soda may also enable you to save more money as it will kill your “sweet tooth” when you need it to the most. This means that you won’t be heading down to Burger King for a milk shake late at night which also means that you’ll spend less money. Now, go enjoy these great sodas!

5 Best Cheap Workout Supplements

workoutsupplements1

Depending on who you are, working out may or may not be something new to you. Either way, we have some pretty sound advice for those of you out there (male or female) that hit the gym on a regular basis, work out hard, and want the best supplements possible. If this sounds like you or something you’d be interested in reading, go ahead and scroll down. What you will find waiting for you is what we think are the 5 best supplements, period.

Whey Protein

One brand that we prefer over the most is Optimum Nutrition. They make a 100% whey protein formula that tastes great, is packed full of quality protein, and is very affordable. Need some flavor advice? Try their Double Milk Chocolate flavor with skim milk or almond milk. We swear it’s one of the best post-workout protein shakes that you will ever drink!

Multi-Vitamin

Sure, a lot of people will say that multivitamins are pointless and you only end up urinating out the majority of it. We don’t buy that one bit. Get your hands on some Vitafusion brand multivitamins (the gummies rock) and see if you don’t feel a difference. Your diet should still be your #1 source of vitamins and minerals but a multivitamin fills in the spaces.

Creatine

If you’re a guy (or girl) looking to pack on some serious muscle then creatine needs to be in your gym bag. Most people, even on the people that make creatine, will tell you that you should “saturated your muscles” with creatine by taking around 20 grams of it a day. That is 100% unnecessary as, after about 3 weeks, your muscles will get the same effect. So, without getting into the technical stuff, just take 5 grams of creatine a day, 7 days a week.

Fish Oil

Sure, krill oil may be better in this way or cod oil may be better in this way. Who cares? As long as you are getting Omega Fatty Acids and staying heart healthy, taking a good fish oil supplement is one of the best things you could possibly do for your body. It will keep you heart healthy but the only downside that we can think of is the taste but it’s not horrible.

L-Glutamine

This is a very underestimated supplement that hardly anyone considers taking because they don’t know what to get. Unlike creatine in which you should get micronized creatine, L-Glutamine is L-Glutamine. Get whatever you can get your hands on and take a scoop with a glass of water every night before bed. It really will work wonders for your body!

So, there you have it. That concludes our list of the 5 Best Cheap Workout Supplements which applies to both men and women. These are all supplements that you should be taking if you are working out more than 2 or 3 times a week. Not sure when to take these supplements? Then do it like this. Take your multivitamin as soon as you wake up as well as your creatine and fish oil. Later in the day, after your workout, have a protein shake with a scoop of L-Glutamine in it. You could also do this last one right before bed but that’s not important. What’s important is to be healthy, save money, and have fun. Now, go do it!

Recording Music On A Tight Budget

1319401754_music_is_love_by_beau

So, you like to record music? Maybe you mess around on the piano any time you get a few extra minutes. You may even just be planning on dabbling in music. Regardless of where you are in music, we have a few cool tips for you that you can use if you ever want to take a step forward, record your own music, and see how it sounds. Not only do we have some very general advice but we’re also going to give you some equipment recommendations as well and don’t worry. These recommendations are based on our own unique experiences!

Microphone

The first thing that we recommend getting (and it’s really the first thing that you’ll need) is a good microphone. Even if you don’t actually sing, a good microphone will come in handy for just about any instrument especially when it comes to recording. The best microphone that we’ve used as far as recording quality goes is the Samson Meteor and best of all, it is only selling right now for about $70 which is a really good price for a high quality mic.

Editing/Mixing Software

Once you do some recording, you need somewhere to put it. Well, we recommend trying out the latest version of Fruity Loops. There is a pretty intimidating learning curve for someone new but if you take a few tutorials and practice, you’ll be just fine. There used to be a few versions of this floating around for free but most of them (if not all of them) now are paid. Either way, this isn’t a terribly expensive piece of software and it works great!

Portable Keyboard

This one isn’t as necessary as the two listed above but if you truly want to expand and make some good music on a tight budget, a portable keyboard is a must. You can find for $100 or less and they work like a charm. They’re fun to play around with, they can put out some very cool sounds, and you just never know how well they’ll work with your music.

Be Careless

Finally, we’re going to leave you with one last piece of advice and it isn’t in regards to good equipment for music recording. We just ask that you get “careless” with your music. No, we don’t mean that we want you to stop caring about it. Just play around with it, don’t take it too serious, and focus on building up your studio. It takes time but even those on a very tight budget can have a nice setup and record some of the best music out there.

But we don’t think we have to motivate you. If you’re already reading this then you’re probably already passionate and dedicated to your music. We just wanted to let people know that regardless of your budget, there is good music recording equipment out there. The setup we just gave you won’t cost over $300 and you’ll have what you need for a long time. Now, let’s get out there, get that home music studio built, and record some music!

Making A Movie On A Budget

movie-reel

Making a movie is something that most people only dream about doing but the reality of it is, anyone can make a movie with the right mindset and a little bit of money to play around with. Sure, it may take you a few months (or a few years) to get everything together that you need but if you’re serious about making a movie, the time and effort will be well worth it. Now, are you ready to learn a few cheap tricks when it comes to making your very own movie? Good! Because we’re ready to spill the beans and teach you how.

Use Friends

The first tip we have when it comes to making a low budget movie, is to use your friends. They don’t have to be on screen but you can always use a good grip, assistant director, script supervisor, and numerous other positions. If you’re friends aren’t available or don’t want to help, try to find local talent. Visit local film schools, theaters, and wherever else.

Go Digital

The day and age of actual film is long gone. The future is in digital cameras. In particular, we think that DSLRs are the way to go. You know, those big and bulky cameras that you see photographers carrying around? Yeah, those are DSLRs. We recommend something like the Canon 7D or 5D (one is over 1K and the other is over 3K). If you can’t afford that, get your hands on a cheaper model such as the Canon T2i and save up for better lenses.

Edit It Yourself

You can save a ton of money by familiarizing yourself with a good editing program such as Final Cut. Hiring an actual film editor that is capable of putting together a completed film the way you want it will cost you a pretty penny. In fact, the cheapest that we have ever seen someone edit a feature length film for was around $500. For $500, you can get a good DSLR that will be more than capable of doing anything that you would ever need it to do.

Raise Money

Finally, to cut down on the costs of making a low budget movie, you can raise money for the shoot. There are a ton of crowd funding platforms out there now including Kickstarter and Indie GoGo. Both of them are good in their own sense but you also have the option of approaching potential investors individually. Back in the golden days of film, people would (and probably still do) literally approach lawyers, doctors, etc and ask for some money.

Either way, the opportunities are out there for you to make a low budget movie. You just have to work hard, have some confidence, and hope that luck is on your side. We just hope that our list has motivated you to finally make it happen. Now, let’s get this party started and make your dreams come true. Gather up some money and go shoot your film!

Finding Cheap Auto Insurance

Hand with money and toy car

What is something that everyone has to have? Nope! Not that. No way! Not that either. If you haven’t guessed it yet, we’re talking about auto insurance. If you’re on the road and driving then you need auto insurance. It’s not only required by the law (unless you live on Jupiter) but it’s also for your protection as well as the protection of others. Fortunately, we have a few tips as to how you can save a little extra dough on auto insurance. Ready to take a look at what we’ve came up with? Good! We’re glad to have you. Now, enjoy!

Shop Around

The first and most practical tip on this list is to shop around. Don’t commit to one auto insurance company right off the bat. See what kind of quotes other companies can give you and decide from there. Too often people approach an auto insurance company, hear a good quote (one that they like and can afford), and they simply move forward. Take a step back and see what else is out there. You may only save a few dollars but it’s worth doing.

Be A Good Driver

Almost every auto insurance company out there has rewards, perks, and added savings for good drivers. This means no accidents, no fender benders, or anything else like that. This is something that you should keep in mind once you commit to a particular company or if you already have one, it’s time to step up your game. Focus on the road and you will save cash!

Liability Insurance

Although this type of auto insurance plan doesn’t cover you as well as full coverage, think about how much money it could save you. Sure, you can never plan for an accident but if you’re one of those people that do not do a lot of driving, liability insurance may be a good route for you to take. It’s a lot cheaper and makes it easier to add other vehicles to your plan. If you want to learn more about liability insurance, contact your local agent.

Referrals

Finally, you have the option of having a friend or family member refer you. We could have said that we recommend being on someone else’s insurance policy but that isn’t very logical especially if you have a family. The next best thing is having someone else refer you. There are usually cool perks for this and for both parties involved. Find out who your friends or your co-workers are using for auto insurance. Then, get them to refer you!

And that’s all you have to do in order to save money on insurance. It really is that easy! Now, if you have tickets or convictions on your record, we can’t do much to help that but either way, following these helpful tips is certain to help with that some. Now, what are you waiting around for? The savings are out there so get out there and pinch some pennies!

Is It More Expensive To Eat Healthy?

the-best-fast-food-in-america

Looking at the picture above, you probably notice one thing. The food looks absolutely delicious, doesn’t it? We think so too! Here’s the downside though. It’s extremely bad for you and has no benefit to the human body whatsoever. Now, don’t worry. We’re not going to get all “eat healthy” on you but we are going to break down a few reasons that eating healthy isn’t more expensive than eating junk. You know, so in case you ever do decide to clean up your diet, you’ll have no excuse not to. Ready to get started? Good! So are we.

Case Studies

We recently read an article in Men’s Health magazine (it applies to women too) that said that eating healthy only costs, on average, about $1.50 more a day. While that may be true among certain groups of people, we disagree with that. We don’t think it’s more expensive at all but before we get ahead of ourselves, go ahead and scroll down. We’ll dive into this a little deeper and explain our reasoning behind this. You need proof, right?

Our Own Experience

Based on our own experience, it really isn’t any more expensive to eat healthy versus eating junk as long as you’re ready to cut down on eating out. A salad in a popular food establishment could run you $10 or more. If you do this at home, $10 will make quite a few salads. In fact, you could feed your entirely family a salad on $10 or less in most cases. Need lean meat in your diet but can’t afford it? 3lb bags of frozen chicken breast (both boneless and skinless) will run you around $7 a bag for the best of the best. In other words, for $7, you can have chicken for lunch every single day for at least a week if you’d like to.

The Bottom Line

While we haven’t provided you with a ton of detail here, we dove as deep as we needed to. Eating healthy isn’t any more expensive than eating junk. Sure, if you’re going to places like McDonald’s every single day and eating off of the dollar menu, it probably is cheaper. If you start dining in more often and prepare your own meals 3 times a day, eating healthy could actually turn out to be cheaper. It’s also extremely hard to eat too much if you’re eating 100% clean. We know a lot of athletes that eat 100% clean that have a lot of trouble meeting their daily caloric needs. Of course, this doesn’t only apply to just athletes though.

So, these are just some of the reasons that we think eating healthy isn’t any more expensive than eating junk food. Of course, you’re free to come up with your own ideas and theories on the matter and we certainly won’t argue with you. We simply wanted to toss around some ideas, let you know what we thought, and tell you that we know that you can afford to eat healthy. Worried about the mental aspect of it? We believe in you!

Saving Money Around The House

persSavings

We all know that it isn’t easy to save money sometimes especially around Christmas time, when you’re planning for Black Friday, or around your child’s birthday. However, we’ve made things just a tad bit easier with these practical tips on how to save money around the house without putting forth any extra effort. In other words, these are methods that can be used without going out of your way or living your life any different than you already do. Ready to find out what they are? If so, scroll down and enjoy these easy, practical tips!

Recycle

This is something that we should all be doing anyways but unfortunately, most people don’t even think about going green or recycling. Did you know that doing this can actually save you money and it’s friendly to the environment? Well, you can and it is! We know quite a few people that save all of their cans, cardboard, and plastic bottles that actually bring in around $30 to $40 a month just by recycling. That’s enough in some places to pay your water bill. In other words, there are some really big savings in regards to recycling.

Keep The Change

Sure, you aren’t really saving money by keeping all of your change but it does work out very well for the most part. Most change gets lost in the car, in the couch, or you simply tell the cashier at the store to “keep the change.” Use a water jug, piggy bank, or whatever you need to in order to start saving your change. A water jug full of change is almost certain to have a few hundred dollars in it. Don’t want to roll all that change? Don’t bother! It’s 2014 and we have cool stuff like Coin Star kiosks out there that do it for you.

Kick A Habit

Finally, the last tip that we have for you on this list is to pick a habit and kick it. Yeah, we know that it’s easier said than done but we also know that you can do it if you set your mind to it. It could be quitting smoking, cutting soda out of your diet, or eating out less. Regardless of what habit you kick, you’ll find that you can save a ton of money. In fact, kicking one habit could save you thousands upon thousands of dollars a year. How cool!

Now, we realize that these are some pretty simple and straight forward tips but they really do work. It may take some self discipline and will power but none of these methods could be considered hard work. You have to walk by a trash can to throw away that pesky bottle anyways so why not throw it in the recycling bin? You want to quit smoking anyways so why not go ahead and do it? You also would probably love to have a few hundred dollars in change sitting around so why not make it happen? Now, what are you waiting for? Go do it!

5 Best Cheap Beers

craftbeer__36914

Okay, so we aren’t really beer drinkers but we know that some of you out there are. You may like a beer from time to time or maybe you’re a stay at home mom with a husband that likes beer. Either way, there’s nothing wrong with having a beer assuming you are 21 and aren’t driving. You know, the basic stuff that shouldn’t go hand in hand with drinking. Anyways, we put together a list of the 5 Best Cheap Beers. These are all beers that we think have a lot of bang for their buck, taste great, and won’t ruin your finances either.

Keystone

We don’t see a lot of people drink this beer anymore and we aren’t quite sure why. It has a smooth, watered down taste that is great for people that don’t drink beer on a regular basis. It’s also very affordable especially if you buy it in 6 packs, 12 packs, or 24 packs.

Miller High Life

This beer truly is the champagne of beers. It has a really unique taste, it’s thick, and very filling. While it may not be your “go to beer” for an event or party, it will definitely become the beer you grab after mowing grass or just to have a beer with some pizza.

Natural Light

This beer gets a very bad reputation from a lot of people but yet it remains a favorite among beer drinkers. Why? Because it isn’t half bad for it’s cheap price tag. We’re not sure what this beer currently runs but we remember a time (not too long ago) when you could find it at select stores for around $9.99 per 24 pack which is a really good price.

Mickey’s

This may not even be classified as a beer but it’s close enough for us. Mickey’s is a little tougher to find but it tastes absolutely fantastic. They even usually have limited edition cans (we saw the UFC cans) and also come in glass barrels. Sure, these can be a pain to open but they taste great, are pretty affordable, and have a cool mystique about them.

Bud Light

Okay, so this is one of your more common beers but that doesn’t mean it’s expensive. When we think of expensive, it’s stuff like Sam Adams and not beers like Coors Light. Bud Light falls into the same category as Coors Light. The only difference is, Bud Light tastes a million times better especially if you get it on draft. Ice cold Bud Light on draft. Delicious!

So, that’s it! These are the 5 Best Cheap Beers in our opinion and we definitely think you’ll get a kick out of  trying some of these for the first time. You may absolutely hate them (if you are used to drinking the good stuff) or you may think they aren’t half bad. Either way, we hope that you responsibly try each one of these and see what you think. If you are into them, feel free to swing back by the site and thank us although it isn’t necessary at all.

Tasty But Affordable Midnight Snacks

snacks[1]

Just like you, we too are sometimes guilty of indulging in midnight snacks so we’re not going to knock you for doing it. What we are going to do though is have a little fun and give you some cool ideas for midnight snacks that are both tasty and affordable. Why? Because we have to admit one thing. Some of the stuff that we snack on during all hours of the night can get pretty expensive over time. You know, stuff like ice cream, potato chips, and more. So, without further delay, we have a few midnight snack ideas for you now!

Celery

Celery is the best of both worlds when it comes to midnight snacks. It’s affordable and it has the crunchy aspect to it that simulates eating something like potato chips. We like this a lot because it allows you to get your “midnight snack fix” while eating a healthy snack. And we can’t stress this enough. Celery is super cheap! Sometimes as cheap as $1 per bag.

Almonds

Almonds are little more on the expensive side in comparison to a snack like celery but they make up for it with how satisfying and filling they are. A can of almonds will usually cost anywhere from $3 to $6 a can. However, you’ll only need to eat a few of them to feel their effects. They’ll fill you up and satisfy your “snack tooth” in no time. Try them out!

Water

Sometimes when you think that you’re hungry, you’re actually thirsty. Yeah, we didn’t believe that kind of stuff at first either but it’s true. The next time you are having a late night craving for a snack, try downing a glass of water first. Wait about 10 or 15 minutes and if you’re still hungry, have a snack. If you’re not hungry, it looks like we were right!

Bananas

This one might seem weird but we just had to include it. Bananas are not only delicious but they’re very filling and good for you. We’ve even seen people who eat bananas for lunch and it carries them over until dinner comfortably. Beat those late night hunger pains with a banana and you’ll definitely be thanking us. They’re nutritious, delicious, and very cheap!

Carrots

This one kind of ties in with celery but it has a very different taste and texture than celery does. We prefer baby carrots as far as snacks go (and they’re cheap) but you can eat them however you’d like. Either way, you’re getting a good late night snack in that isn’t going to pack on a lot of calories or be bad for your health. Did we mention that they are cheap?

Of course we did! But now that we’re done, we hope that you’ll take this small grocery list and run with it. Incorporate these foods into your home and gradually make the change from snacking on Doritos and ice cream to snacking on stuff from our list. Your body will thank you as will your checking account. Now, why wait? Let’s go save some money!

Cheap Ways To Stay Cool During Summer

summer33

Summer is right around the corner and while it’s a fun time of the year (especially for kids), it’s also a very hot and dangerous time of the year. No, we’re not trying to scare you but we just want to make sure that you and your family are playing it safe. That’s why we came up with this list of Cheap Ways To Stay Cool During Summer. Not only are these tactics cheap so everyone can pull them off but they are also effective. In other words, they work. Now, let’s scroll down and take a look at what we came up with for you.

Water

During the hot summer weather, water should be your right hand man. It helps cool you off and it keeps you hydrated. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people die every year from heat related illness so we can’t stress this enough. If you’re going to be out in the heat, even if it’s the beach, make sure you pack a case of water which should only run you $3 or $4.

Portable Fans

Yeah, portable fans may seem like a novelty or they may come off as just plain silly but they do have a purpose in this world. Make sure you snag a few of them (usually at no more than $5 each) and take them on your family vacation. They will come in handy if your car ever breaks down or you have to do a lot of walking. Just fill them with water and fan away with one of these bad boys. They work, will help keep you cool, and are cheap!

Summer Clothes

We don’t think that you have anything to worry about with this one but we just had to throw it in there to be 100% certain. When it’s hot out, we hate seeing people walk around with sweat shirts on (we see it a lot actually). This isn’t because we think they look silly or anything like that but it can be very dangerous. Dress for the weather and don’t be afraid of what anyone else thinks. Wear some shorts, a t shirt, and if you must, a breezy hat.

Get In Shape

We know that you’ve heard of people complaining about how they wish that they could get in shape for their Summer vacation but what you may not know is that it can be for other reasons aside from looking good at the beach. Yes, you handle your water better when you are in shape which means you’ll be safer in the heat. So, why not try to do it?

So, there you have it. These are our tips for staying cool on a budget during the Summer months. Some of them are practical and some of them are nothing but common sense. Either way, we hope that you’ll give them a shot and play it safe this year. We’d hate to lose one of our readers and genuinely hope you have a sunburn free vacation this summer!

4 Easy Ways To Cut Down On Kitchen Costs

kitchen after

Ready to cut down on kitchen costs and learn a few new ways that you can save a little of money in the busiest room in the house? Yeah, the kitchen is most definitely probably the busiest room in the house minus the bathroom. If it isn’t, it still definitely costs the most money to maintain. Think about all that food that you have to keep in there or all the water that gets used in the kitchen. Alright, got that in your head? Good! Scroll down.

Cut Corners

Remember when people told you that you should never cut corners? Well, now we’re going to tell you the complete opposite. Cut some corners in the kitchen and see where you can save money. Do you really need name brand dish soap? Does the off brand alternative not work as well? Figure out where you can cut corners to save and where you can’t do this.

Go Paper…Sometimes

It’s good to use paper plates, cups, and plastic silverware once in a blue moon. Save a little bit of water (especially if you’re just eating sandwiches or pizza) and use “disposable” stuff. Don’t make a habit of this or you’ll eventually start to lose money but you also have the option of just re-using your plate and cup for a day or two. Both are very effective!

Prepare In Advance

Getting meals ready in advance in the kitchen will save you money and here’s why. It takes care of any chance of their being waste. You always know what’s in your kitchen, what needs to be used, and you don’t have to worry about losing money on spoiled food. Prepare your meals in advance (when possible) and be practical about it. If you do this, you’ll save a few dollars in the kitchen compared to what you may normally spend.

Take Suggestions

Finally, we recommend taking suggestions from your other family members. Ask them what they want for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Find out how they want their food to be prepared. This helps you save money as it also cuts down on food wasted. If you are going to cook dinner (or any meal), at least one person should be able to have leftovers for a whole other meal. Don’t think this is possible? Try it and find out for yourself that it is!

Of course, these are just ideas. You are free to do whatever you want but we do hope that you’ll consider incorporating some of these rules and ideals into your kitchen lifestyle. We love to see people save money and it’s little things like what’s found on this list that can add up over time. Sure, you can do something big that will save you money this month but what about next month? It really is the little things that save you the most money possible. Now, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get out there, pinch some pennies, and save!

How To Find Cheap Video Games

Video-Games_0

Kids love video games as do some adults so it’s only natural that people try to find ways to save a little money on video games. Most new video games cost about $60 a pop regardless of what console you are buying it for and that amount of money can add up quickly. This is especially true if you are out buying all the new releases or have more than one kid in your home. How can you cut down on those costs? Well, we’re about to show you. Scroll down!

Discount Cards

A lot of video game stores, mainly GameStop, has discount cards that are available to you for free or a small fee. GameStop has a reward card that does cost a little bit of money but saves you a lot of money on video games over time. Big Lots also has a discount card but keep this in mind. Stores like that don’t specialize in video games so you may be limited.

Trade Ins

Go to any video game store (or even some pawn shops) and you’ll find that you can trade in your old video games for new ones. Sure, you won’t get a ton of money for them (probably not even 1/3 of what you spent on them) but if they don’t get played, what does it matter? Trade in your old games, accessories, and consoles for brand new gaming stuff.

eBay

We throw this name around a lot but it’s for good reason. You can find almost anything on eBay at a price cheaper than retail. Maybe someone bought a new video game, didn’t like it (or want it), and doesn’t want to let it go for what they’d get in a video game store. So, what do they do? Sell it on eBay for about $20 less than they spent on it instead of $30 less.

Flea Markets

We’re not sure why but flea markets usually have at least one vendor that is selling video games and while you may not be able to fathom spending $30 on a used game, what if that used game in stores is $55? In other words, don’t be afraid to explore alternate venues and look for a good deal. This is the only way that you’ll save money and do so in a fun manner. Use this and maybe a little red food coloring to emulate the look and feel of warm blood. This works great for haunted houses and fun but scary pranks.

Ground Beef

4 More Affordable Vacation Spots

blog425

Okay, so do you remember the list of affordable vacation spots that we did a while back? Yeah, that one! Alright, good. We’re doing another one where we are bringing you 4 more affordable vacation spots and you’re already reading it. Below, you’re going to find a few more destinations that we deemed worthy of making the cut that won’t cut your budget in half. Yes, that’s right. You can go to all 4 of these destinations without spending a ton of money and you’ll still have a blast. Let’s scroll down now and find out what they are.

New York, NY

Yes, that’s right. We said it! New York City is a very affordable vacation in terms of what you get. Your options are limitless in NYC and while it may not be everyone’s dream vacation, you’ll literally never run out of stuff to do. It would take you hours a day for quite a few years to visit every single tourist attraction in New York City. Pretty cool, huh?

Washington DC

This is another cool vacation a lot like New York City (minus the size) because there are literally limitless options of things to do in DC. Some of the world’s best and biggest tourist attractions are here including political attractions, museums, art galleries, and some of the nation’s history. Yes, Washington DC is an affordable (and limitless) vacation you’ll love!

Cherokee, NC

Bet you’ve never heard of this one, huh? Were we right? Okay, so maybe you have (we seriously doubt it) but that’s not the point. The point here is that Cherokee, NC is a very cool vacation spot that’s just hours away from other hot vacation spots as well. There’s not a lot to do here unless you like Native American culture and gambling but if you’re into those two things, we think that Cherokee, NC makes for a very unique vacation spot.

New Orleans

Ah, yes! New Orleans didn’t make the last list but only for one reason. It wasn’t quite as cheap as some of the top dogs on the last list such as Las Vegas. Sure, this city is still in the re-building phase thanks to Hurricane Katrina but for the most part, New Orleans is back to normal and ready to serve you. From good food to voodoo to rich history, New Orleans is an awesome, affordable vacation spot. And who could forget about Mardi Gras? Not us!
