Did you know today is Star Wars Force Friday? Yep, today is Force Friday or #forcefriday. If you’ve been online at all today you have seen or heard the buzz. For those of you who haven’t heard or don’t know, exactly what is this Force Friday? Today is the day that Star Wars fans all over the world were able to follow along with a global unveiling of all new toys and other merchandise from the upcoming “The Force Awakens” movie. This global “unboxing” event was staged in dozens of cities and countries all around the world. Did you get a chance to see any of the fun new toys? Some of them are super awesome.

One of the most talked about toys was actually previously unboxed at Comic-Con San Diego in August. It is the ball-shaped droid BB-8. They featured BB-8 on Good Morning America this morning and it sure it cute! It also looks like it will be so much fun! It is a scaled-down version of the droids from The Force Awakens that works just like its big-screen star counterpart. There will be two versions of the BB-8. Hasbro will make a remote-controlled BB-8 which will be sold exclusively at Target for $79.99. Sphero, the company that helped create the BB-8 in “The Force Awakens”, will make a version that will sell for $149.99. It will be controlled by an app running on your wireless device. Steep prices but it is a very cute toy that is sure to be popular when it hits stores.

There are so many cute new Star Wars toys being unboxed. There are some Lego sets that look super fun and they are sure to be popular. One is 75104- LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle. Another is the 75100- LEGO Star Wars First Order Snowspeeder. So awesome! There will be a couple of fun new lightsabers and even Hot Wheels cars. There will be even more “The Force Awakens” toys unboxed tonight as Force Friday continues tonight with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show.
