What is your penny pinching meal planning style?

I think most people can agree that the key to saving money at the grocery store is to have a solid PLAN.
These days I can’t imagine wandering into a grocery store each day and buying whatever catches my eye or appetite.

~Some folks make a meal plan based on the weekly sales fliers and the hottest deals they can get their hands on each week.
~Others have a dozen or so family favorite meals that they have tweaked over time to suit their tastes and budgets. For them the shopping list is pretty consistent from week to week.
~For some folks who love to experiment with new recipes, such as myself, the weekly grocery budget is spent stocking up on the best deals available for the most common ingredients used in their style of cooking. This method leads to a decent stockpile of basics. Then there are usually only a handful of extras to purchase for any new recipe trials.
