If you keep up with the latest technology and are a movie fanatic, you probably have a few Blu Rays in your home right now. So do we! We absolutely love blu ray discs and seeing our favorite movies like never before. The quality of the video is stunning, the sound is better, and you simply notice things that you’ve never noticed before. Throw in some a quality surround sound system and you have yourself your very own home theater, right? Duh! So, what are some good movies that are on blu ray for cheap? Scroll down to find out! And we totally understand. We don’t like to fork out $30 on new releases that we haven’t seen.
Titanic
The first movie that you can find on blu ray for cheap is Titanic. We’ve seen this 4 disc set for as little as $10 so far and the picture quality is amazing. This is one movie that you have to experience in blu ray for sure. And not to mention the fact that in the release we saw, you get the film on Blu Ray, DVD, and a digital copy. All of this was only 10 measly bucks.
The Shawshank Redemption
This is another movie (based on a Stephen King story) that was an instant classic the second you first saw it. It’s also only around $10 or $15 in most stores on blu ray which is a steal. Step behind the camera with Frank Darabont and see this movie how it was meant to be some some 20 years ago. If you’ve never seen this movie then you are truly missing out!
Terminator 2
This movie’s special effects changed them as we know it. It was the first movie of its kind and even Star Wars wasn’t as ahead of its time as Terminator 2 was in the early 90s. There are quite a few different releases of this film on blu ray and one was as cheap as $5. We prefer the steel case release though and definitely recommend paying the extra money.
National Lampoon’s Vacation
We decided that for the last cheap blu ray on our list that we would brighten the mood. We played with your emotions with Titanic, we gave you hope with Shawshank, we put you on the edge of your seat with Terminator 2, and now, we will make you laugh with the last one which is none other than National Lampoon’s Vacation. And that is enough said!
So, the next time that you head into Best Buy or are shopping around for Blu Rays on Amazon, see if they have these films on blu ray. They won’t cost you $30 bucks a pop and you’ll get the same entertainment out of them (many times) as you would from a new film. Also, be sure to drop us a line and let us know what you thought of each film. If you have already seen the film before, let us know what you thought of the blu ray transfer. Enjoy!

With gas costs beginning to flip flop around, we thought that’d put something together for you that will help you save money on gas. It could be for a big summer trip, it could be for the commute to work, or it could even be for those random trips to town that you hardly ever take. Regardless of what you need to cut gas costs for, we’re here to help. So, with that being said, scroll down now to find out how you can cut costs on gas costs right now.
Car Pool
The first thing that you can do to save money on gas is to car pool. No, we’re not asking you to pile in your car with 8 other people and make the journey to work together. But, if you have a neighbor close by that works with you or your significant other works close by, ask them to ride with you during the week. You can split the gas costs and alternate weeks. That way, there’s not too much wear and tear on anyone’s car and you save 50% of your money. This works really well but just make sure that you have someone to ride with you.
Pay With Credit
The second thing that we recommend doing to cut down on gas costs is to pay with credit. The only reason that we recommend doing this is because it may be easier to have one solid bill every month for the gasoline bought versus forking out $10 a day in cash for gas. Just make sure that you can pay it off every single month and the interest rate isn’t high.
Trade In Your Old Car
If you’re driving an older car that you’ve made major repairs to and are struggling with the cost of gas, you may be better off trading in your old car for a new, fuel efficient car. The average American can afford a $15,000-$20,000 car if they make the average income. Even if you can’t buy a newer car than yours but get it used. You’ll save a ton of your money!
Get Rewards
Finally, the last tip that we have for you to save money on gas is to sign up for rewards cards. Most gas station chains, like Shell, have rewards cards that will save you money on gas. Some grocery stores even offer this now so definitely take advantage of that. We know that you can save as much as 20 or 25 cents off a gallon with these rewards cards.
And that’s all that you have to do to save money on gas. We know that gas costs have been going up lately and it’s likely that we’ll one day see gas that costs as much as $5 a gallon one day. Be prepared for when that happens and save up a little extra money in the meantime. Then, if it ever gets that high again, you can apply these tips and save money!

Are you just now moving out? Are you moving into the first house that you’ve ever owned? If so, you’re probably going to need at least a few basic tools in your garage (or basement) just in case something goes wrong. Don’t worry though. We’re not going to ask you to buy a chainsaw or anything (leave that to the professionals). No, we’re going to be giving you a list of tools everyone needs. Yes, that includes you! So, if you’re ready to get started and want to find out what tools you may be missing that we think you need, scroll down now!
Flashlight
Regardless of what some people may say or think, we still consider a flashlight to be a tool. It’s also a tool that we think everyone should consider owning. It comes in handy if you have to be outside at night, if the power goes out, if you’re working on a car, and numerous other things. Go ahead and invest a little money in a nice flashlight and a few packs of batteries. They’ll come in handy for the flashlight as well as other various items.
Screwdriver
You may not think that this one has many uses to the point where you’d absolutely have to have one but think about this. How many times have you bought something that having a screwdriver was necessary to put it together? You know, stuff like entertainment centers, kitchen tables, dresser drawers, your bed, the doggy door, and other random stuff. See! It makes sense, right? Now, what are you waiting for? Add a screwdriver to your grocery list.
Hammer
A hammer is a lot like a screwdriver to us. You need it to put stuff together sometimes but it also comes in handy when you have to hang up pictures, fight off burglars, or if you need to break up some frozen hamburger patties. In all seriousness though, a hammer is a very useful tool that you should have in your tool box. It will pay for itself over and over again.
Measuring Tape
Finally, we recommend getting some measuring tape like those cool, metal, retractable measuring tape boxes. When you’re first moving into a place you’ll need one to figure out where a washer and dryer can fit. You’ll also need it to see if the couch can fit through the door. Aside from that, you’ll also need it many times in the future so it’s worth buying.
Now you know what tools we think you should definitely own when moving into your first home or if you just don’t have any tools at all. All of these tools are generally cheap and you probably won’t have to spend more than $20 to get all of the tools that we just discussed. Of course, you get what you pay for so if you buy cheap tools, don’t expect to build a house with them but they should hold up for general, everyday tasks you perform.
